Scott Layne McFarland was born March 1, 1966 in Maricopa, Arizona to
Farris E. and Juanita Jane (Rose) McFarland and passed away December
23, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of fifty-one years.
On January 18, 1997, Scott McFarland was united in marriage to Wilma
Sebido in the Philippines. Scott enjoyed fixing cars, serving and helping
people, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma McFarland of the home in Salem; children,
Amanda Turner and husband, John, Wood Heights, Julie Rocha, Austin,
Texas; brothers, Gary McFarland, Marshfield, Mike McFarland, Marshfield,
Steve McFarland, Seymour, Randall McFarland, Marshfield, Larry McFarland,
Seymour; sisters, Kelly Blackwell, Seymour, Angela Jones, Marshfield, Debbie
McFarland, Marshfield, Lori McClintock, Branson; grandchildren, Johnny
Turner, Caidan Turner, Brandon Turner, Derek Brown, Damian Brown,
Drayden Rocha, Kallen Rocha; several nieces and nephews.
Scott will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral service for Scott Layne McFarland was held Saturday, December 30,
2017 at the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Thad Wilson officiating.
Prayers were by James Abney and Lee Zufelt, eulogy was given by John
Turner and special music was provided by Brenda Castor, April Williams, M.
Williams and Nanette Turner. Serving as pallbearers were Steve McFarland,
Larry McFarland, John Turner, Tim Major, Dale Head and Mike Holland.
Honorary pallbearers were Gary Hogan, Richard Ferguson, Ray Williams,
Adam Parker, Chuck Asher and Robert Cowling. Dedicating the grave was
Bob Myler. Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
