|Robert James "Bob" Kitchen 1927 ~ 2017
Robert James Kitchen was born January 29, 1927 in Lenox, Missouri to Jewell
and Julia (Phelps) Kitchen and passed away May 20, 2017 in Salem, Missouri
at the age of ninety years.
On July 28, 1970 Robert "Bob" Kitchen was united in marriage to Dorothy
Stevenson. Bob enjoyed visiting, farming, truck driving, and bragging about
his family. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Dorothy Kitchen; and stepson,
Survivors include his children, Patricia Hubert, Urbana, Illinois, Monty Kitchen
and wife, Yvonne, Salem, Randy Whitehouse and wife Cathy, Monroe,
Michigan, Robert Whitehouse and wife, Rita, Salem; daughter in law, Linda
Whitehouse, Winston Salem, North Carolina; grandchildren, Greg Peters,
Champaign, Illinois, Ashley Hubert, Chicago, Illinois, Zach Whitehouse,
Hollister, Kevin Whitehouse, Pensacola, Florida, Brady Whitehouse, Rio
Rancho, New Mexico, Alex Prohaska, Winston Salem, North Carolina, Nathan
Kitchen, Salem, Dustin Whitehouse, Salem, Breanna Ward, Murfreesboro,
Tennessee; great grandchildren, Audrey, Ella, Tallulah, Eli, Aurora; and
many extended family and friends.
Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral service for Robert James “Bob” Kitchen was held Wednesday, May
24, 2017 at Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Bro. Norman Cartwright and
Dustin Whitehouse officiating, special music was provided by Sheri Stack and
a special CD selection. Serving as pallbearers were, Zach Whitehouse, Brady
Whitehouse, Dustin Whitehouse, Corey Prohaska, Charles Cunningham and
Bryan Wisdom, honorary pallbearers were, Nathan Kitchen and Greg Peters.
Interment was in the Anutt Cemetery.
