|Paul Dean Brooks 1934 ~ 2017
Paul Dean Brooks was born December 30, 1934 in Boss, Missouri to Roy and
Hazel (Nelson) Brooks and passed away November 30, 2017 in Rolla,
Missouri at the age of eighty-two years.
On November 10, 1956, Paul Dean Brooks was united in marriage to Hattie
Ellen Miner in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Paul worked 9 1/2 years at Missouri
Pacific Rail Road in De Soto, Missouri, 10 years at City of Salem as a
lineman, 21 years TV Cable Salem as a cable lineman, and volunteered 16
years with Salem Volunteer Fire Department. Paul was a great mechanic,
electrician, artist, loved his coffee club, but loved his grandkids more than
anything. Paul attended Grace Community Church and later attended
Walking Faith Ministries.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Roy and Hazel Brooks; son, Dale
Brooks; brother, Jimmie Joe Brooks; infant sister, Roberta Brooks; and a host
Survivors include his wife, Hattie Brooks of the home in Salem; daughter,
Paula Conley and husband, Dwain, Salem; daughter in law, Goldie Sproat,
Agency; sister in law, Erma Brooks, Salem; grandchildren, Angela Sue Shaw
and husband, Nathan, Salem, Douglas Paul Conley, Salem; great
grandchildren, Madison Ann Shaw, Hunter Ray Shaw, Haiden Dwain Shaw,
and Ava Mae Shaw; extended family and friends.
Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral service for Paul Dean Brooks was held Tuesday, December 05, 2017
at Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Bro. Lyndell Decker officiating, music
was provided by Felecia Stienbarger and special CD selections. Serving as
pallbearers were, Douglas Paul Conley, Nathan Shaw, Hunter Shaw, Stanley
Hayes Jr., Dennis Decker, and Bobby Shaw. Honorary pallbearers were, Tom
Dillon, Bill Kaczmarek, Pee Wee Wells and Billy Jo Beasley. Interment was in
the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
