|Linda Lee Ashburn 1962 ~ 2017
Linda Lee Ashburn was born January 4, 1962 in Kittery, Maine to Lawrence
and Patricia (Cebula) Herndon and passed away May 31, 2017 at her home
in Salem, Missouri.
On November 25, 1988, Linda Lee Herndon was united in marriage to Gene
C. Ashburn and to this union four daughters were born. Linda always enjoyed
working and her recent job was working in the administrative office at First
Baptist Church. Linda loved spending time with family and her highlight of
each year was going on the Muldova trip.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were, her sister, Jill Koftan; brother in law, Tom
Hawkins and grandson, Mason Shaw.
Survivors include her husband, Gene of the home in Salem; parents, Larry
and Pat Herndon, Derby, Kansas; daughters, Stephanie Shaw and husband,
Jacob, Mulvane, Kansas, Julie Anderson and husband, Matthew, Knob
Noster, Karen Stienbarger and husband, Joshua, Salem, Anna Sulzer and
husband, Michael, Rolla; sister, Laura Hawkins, San Antonio, Texas; mother
in law, Sheila Jenkins, Salem, grandchildren, James, Linda, Noah, Mina,
Jasmine, Elizabeth, Michael and Reece.
Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She will
be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral service for Linda Lee Ashburn was held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at
First Baptist Church with Bro. Phil Newcom officiating, special music was
provided by Phil and Vicki Newcom, a eulogy was given by Laura Hawkins.
Serving as pallbearers were, Joe Brand, Phil Christesen, Michael Sulzer,
Joshua Stienbarger, Matthew Anderson and Jacob Shaw. Interment was in
the Cedar Grove Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Wilson
