|James Earl "Jim" Cabaret 1952 ~ 2017
James Earl Cabaret was born April 14, 1952 in Aberdeen, Washington and
passed away October 5, 2017 at his home in Salem, Missouri at the age of
On July 30, 1977, James Earl Cabaret was united in marriage to Robin Renea
Craig and to this union one daughter was born. Jim, as he was fondly known,
enjoyed hunting, cutting wood, and loved anything and everything about
food. He liked being around people, going to the coffee shop, sharing the
coffee shop gospel. He was known as the king of BS. Jim served in the United
States Navy from 1969 until 1973 during the Vietnam War. He attended the
Salem Christian Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward Earl and Alice Elizabeth
Survivors include his wife, Robin of the home in Salem; daughter, Bobbi
Cabaret and fiancé, Shaun Ugliano, Salem; sister, Kathy Jones and husband,
Steve, Alma, Nebraska; granddaughter, Rylie Ugliano, Salem; and many
other extended family and friends.
Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral service for Jim Cabaret was held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the
Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Titus Benton officiating. Special CD
selections were played. Serving as pallbearers were John Baker, Royce
Shurtleff, Chris Baker, Randy Baker, Jim Benton, Lou Steward. Honorary
pallbearers were Shelly Shurtleff, Juan Villa Jr., Irvin Johnson and Connor
Bostock. Interment was in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in
