|Frank Houston Arzt 1944 ~ 2017
Frank Houston Arzt was born July 7, 1944 in Los Angeles California to Frank
Benedict and Opal Beatrice (Hotchkiss) Arzt and passed away August 8,
2017 at his home in Salem, Missouri.
On June 16, 1965 Frank Houston Arzt was united in marriage to Sandra Kay
Ballard and to this union two sons were born.
Frank was a machinist and owned his own machine shop in Tull, Arkansas,
he also worked at Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, California; McCall
Engineering in Potosi; and traveled all over the state overseeing building of
bridges and highway improvements. He retired from Mt. View Fabricating as
Plant Facilitator. Frank served as Park Director in Salem, Missouri and was
involved in the building of the Alice Lou Craig Memorial swimming pool. He
spent countless hours as a volunteer coach in Bauxite Arkansas and Salem,
Missouri, coaching baseball, football and track. He loved walking the sideline
taking pictures. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling and golfing; loved spending
time with family and enjoyed watching his grandkids in various activities.
Frank was a lifetime member of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Donald "Hogie" Arzt.
Survivors include his wife, Sandi of the home in Salem; sons, Frank "Skip"
Arzt, Blue Springs, Dusty Arzt and wife, Lisa, Salem; grandchildren, Jake Arzt
and wife, Haley, Rogersville, Jon and Josh Arzt, Salem, Kayla and Zach Arzt,
Spring Hill, Kansas; great granddaughter, Berkeley Lynn Arzt, Rogersville;
brother, Ronald Arzt and wife, Kathleen, Branson; brother in law, Ronnie
Ballard and wife, Kathy, Athens, Alabama; sisters in law, Martha Ramsey and
husband, Harold, Benton, Arkansas, Janie Thompson and husband, Denny,
Alexander, Arkansas and many other extended family and friends.
Frank will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life for Frank Houston Arzt was held Friday, August 11,
2017 at Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Bro. David Gidcumb and Bro.
Ronnie Ballard officiating, music was provided by Tommy Thompson.
Interment will be at a later date.
