Emil Lloyd Stroburg was born July 20, 1933 in Blockton, Iowa to Lloyd Mace
and Garland Vada (Sickles) Stroburg and passed away July 30, 2017 in
Salem, Missouri at the age of eighty-four years.
On November 5, 1982 Emil Stroburg was united in marriage to Ruth Lois Bell
in Salem, Missouri. Emil enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, gardening, and
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Ruby Stroburg; son, David
Stroburg; sisters, Agnes Gray, Mabel Stroburg, Audrey Roam, Nada Cook;
brothers, Dwaine Stroburg, and Blaine Stroburg.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth, of the home in Salem; children, Charles
Stroburg, Crocker, Kathy Whitaker, Springfield, Donald Stroburg and wife,
Vickey, Salem, Robert Stroburg, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Lois Ann Tyler
and special friend, Shawn Becker, Salem; daughter in law, Sharon Stroburg,
Florida State; sister, Opal Kotschedoff, Salem; sisters in law, Alverta
Stroburg, Salem, Jane Sams, Fenton, Fern Grant, Imperial; thirteen
grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended
family and friends.
Emil will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral service for Emil Lloyd Stroburg was held Wednesday, August 02,
2017 at Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Chaplain Harold Harrison
officiating, special CD selections were played. Serving as pallbearers were,
Chris Whitaker, Andrew Luebbert, Adam Whitaker, Scott Whitaker, Chase
Stroburg, Brandon Whitaker, Logan Stroburg and Connor Stroburg, honorary
pallbearers were, Nathan Luebbert and Zachary Leubbert. Interment was in
the North Lawn Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
