Edward Lynn "Eddie" Parker was born August 1, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri
to Claude and Violet Parker and passed away January 19, 2018 in Joplin,
Missouri at the age of fifty-five years.
On September 20, 1997, Eddie Parker was united in marriage to Sarah Shaw.
Eddie grew up in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. He had a
passion for spending time with friends, sharing stories, and Bud Light. He
loved all sports; softball, pool, golf, football, baseball, and basketball. His
corny jokes and bear hugs will be deeply missed! Forever in our Hearts!
Preceding him in death were his parents, Claude and Violet Parker; brothers,
Jimmie and Rodger; nieces, Crystal and Tammy; nephews, Doug and Stacey;
brother in law, Jim Hughes; and sister in law, Vickie Parker.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Parker of the home in Joplin; daughter,
Brooke Parker and son Preston Parker of Joplin; step daughter, Paige Ebbs
and husband, Aaron, Joplin; very special granddaughter, Addison Ebbs;
brothers, Johnny Parker and wife, Darlene, Washington, Dean Parker and
wife, Betty, Sullivan, Dewayne Parker and wife, Pam, Salem, Clifford "Butch"
Parker and wife, Waynetta, Salem; sisters, Brenda Hughes, Salem, Linda
Bobmeyer and husband, Richard, House Springs; father and mother in law,
Cleo and Jan Shaw of Salem; sisters in law, Julie Baron and husband, Jeff,
Tucson, Arizona, Norma Parker, Sullivan; several nieces, nephews, and
Eddie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial service for Edward Lynn “Eddie” Parker was held Tuesday, January
23, 2018 at Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Ron Gorham officiating, a
eulogy was given by Mike Wofford. Music was provided by Mark Nash and a
special CD selection. There was no interment.
