|William Wyatt "Bill" Richmond 1930 ~ 2017
William Wyatt Richmond was born September 6, 1930 in Junction City,
Kansas to Roland and Pearl (Moody) Richmond and passed away October 1,
2017 in Salem, Missouri at the age of eighty seven years.
On September 16, 1955, William Richmond was united in marriage to Doris
Sue Wells and to this union five children were born. Bill, as he was fondly
known, enjoyed going to the farm, fishing, golfing and spending time with
family. Bill served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He
was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; granddaughter, Lori Warden,
grandson, Billy Richmond; twin great grandsons, Tristan and Gabriel Martin;
brothers, Corky and Roland Richmond; sister, Pat Wenger.
Survivors include his wife, Doris of the home in Salem; children, Debbie
Halbrook and husband, Jim, Terresa Brown and husband, Joe, Bill Richmond
and wife, Anita, Steven Richmond and wife, Donna, David Richmond and wife,
Kim, all of Salem; sister, Mary Ann Combs, Omaha, Nebraska; 15
grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral service for William Wyatt Richmond was held Wednesday, October
04, 2017 at the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Bro. Mark Johnson
officiating. Special CD selections were played. Serving as pallbearers were
Jason Blankenship, Erik Morse, Adam Lowe, Tim Martin, Shawn Guiles and
Morgan Lewis. Honorary pallbearers were the #1 Men’s Sunday School Class
of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Interment was in the Green Forest
Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
